About the bottle:
This particular bottle is a collaboration private barreling between [Bern’s Steakhouse/Sunshine Liquors/Corona Cigar/TBWS] which are my local stores in the Tampa Bay area.
Larceny is usually always available on the shelf at your local liquor store. With a $30 price point you just can’t go wrong. This wheated bourbon is definitely worth a try. Cheers!
My Assessment:
On the nose this wheated bourbon has a delicious butterscotch aroma along with a unique doughy aroma. With the first sip you are greeted with sweet honey, and caramel notes right away on the front of your palate. For me there is a pleasant buttery type mouthfeel, slight oakiness, and a touch of light pipe tobacco on the finish. I do agree, the best way to describe it would be a sweet and savory finish. This easy to handle 92 proofer is definitely a neat sipping bourbon for your glencairn glass.
Another great option would be to use Larceny in your favorite hand-crafted bourbon cocktail. I have a few you can choose from that are featured on my cocktail list.
